Super Bowl 2022 commercials: LeBron James, Peyton Manning and a host of Hollywood stars make appearances

Super Bowl LVI was a dramatic one, with the Los Angeles Rams scoring a late touchdown to break the hearts of the Cincinnati Bengals and earn a 23-20 victory for their second Super Bowl title in franchise history. The Super Bowl itself, of course, was not the only entertainment to be had. Commercials, as always, were a crucial component of the broadcast.

This year's commercials featured major star power, with those making appearances during the game including NBA star LeBron James, celebrity chef Guy Fieri; actors Idris Elba, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, Lindsay Lohan, Zendaya, Jason Sudeikis and Matthew McConaughey; musician Kenny G; ex-NFL players Peyton Manning, Eli Manning and Jerome Bettis; and late-night host Trevor Noah.

The price to advertise to those stars was as big as the game. According to NBC Sports, 30-second ads are sold for roughly $6.5 million, which would make them the most expensive in Super Bowl history.
